Why Should I Study Here

Founded in 1855, Baptist academy is an institution laid on the Solid Rock - Jesus Christ, who leads the way for the benefit of mankind.

The school prepares all who are destined to pass through it for places of life leadership in the spiritual, moral physical and intellectual growth, in all spheres of life, making their contribution to the progress and upliftment of our dear country and the world at large.

Since its return to the Baptist mission in 2001, after about two decades of Government takeover of schools, Baptist Academy has been in the forefront of educational revival and repositioning in the country as depicted in all efforts put in place to restore her glory.

Baptist Academy is blessed with good infrastructural facilities seasoned and professionally qualified teachers and non-teaching staff, well equipped ICT e-learning room, with laboratories on different practical subjects and high solar energy with a standby generator as alternative power supply.

Baptist Academy is known for high intellectual performances and moral standards. Discipline is a virtue imbibed by all who produce self-control, diligence, high sense of responsibility and commitment in both staff and students.

The curriculum of the school centers on the total development of the students in their cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains. Thus, in academics, Baptist Academy is next to none. The emotional comportment of the students is unequalled, while the sporting, especially athletic prowess has no match.

Our emphasis as a school is placed on discipline, diligence and commitment in the fear of God, with the consciousness of our being accountable to the invisible God whose search light is on all His creatures to keep record of our stewardship.

1 Timothy 4:12 admonishes us to be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith and in purity. Our goal is to lead by example and be a source of inspiration to all. God has been helping us to do.

We appreciate the Nigerian Baptist Convention through the Directorate of Baptist Mission Schools for her lead in lifting the school to an enviable standard; we also identify with the support given by the Baptist Academy Old Students Association (BAOSA) in Nigeria & abroad, the parents Teachers Association (General & Boarding House).

However, our clarion call is for all stake holders to rise up to the challenge of the age and further boost the image of the school in all ramifications.

Baptist Academy is a place to be without any regret. So why don’t you be part of those destined to make it in life?

Up School! Up Baptsacad!
